DO I NEED TO HAVE A US LACROSSE NUMBER, WHAT WILL I GET WITH MY MEMBERSHIP AND WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR MY MEMBERSHIP? YES. US Lacrosse memberships are required for all participating members so that we can receive $1 million insurance. We need this insurance to book all of our fields and we can only obtain it through US Lacrosse if all of our participants are current members. Some of the benefits of being a US Lacrosse member are receiving the Us Lacrosse magazine, representation for your team/area and access to exclusive USL events and notices. You can obtain a USL Membership by clicking here.
WHAT IF I AM ONLY COMING FOR A TRIAL BASIS, DO I STILL NEED A US LACROSSE NUMBER? NO. If you are attending on a trial basis you do not need a full membership, although it is highly suggested. You will, however, need to sign an additional waiver not posted on this site. They are available at the time of sign-ups on the field.
I LOST MY USL MEMBERSHIP CARD, WHERE CAN I GO TO LOOK UP THE NUMBER AND EXPIRATION DATE? GO TO THE USL WEBSITE. To get to the page to find your the membership information that SLC needs, click here.
WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED? THIS ANSWER WILL DEPEND ON THE EVENT. For one-day clinics, you do not need your own equipment, although it is recommended. You should, however, send us an email to see what equipment we have available. At day clinics for girls, we usually have extra sticks and goggles on hand, but you will need to bring your own mouth guard. At day clinics for boys, you will usually only be required to have a stick. Sometimes, more advanced clinics will require, in addition to a stick, gloves and a helmet. If you do not already own the required equipment, send us an email and let us know what you need. We can either loan you out the equipment for the day, or point you in the right direction. For boy's and girl's camps, you will need to have your own equipment. For SLC Summer and Fall League, you can request to rent equipment for the entirety of the league, but supplies are limited so it is on a first come, first serve basis. At ALL SLC events, players should bring their own water bottle with water, snack and mouth guard. Unless otherwise discussed, there will not be extra equipment at the field at SLC events.
WHAT IS THE RATIO OF COACHES TO PLAYERS? THIS WILL DEPEND ON THE EVENT. We usually like to keep a 10:1 ratio of players to coaches. Since the number of players can go up and down on a daily basis (especially during Summer League), the ratio may change a little in both directions, but should overall stay at a consistent 10:1 ratio. When we have guest coaches, the ratio is usually smaller so that each of the kids is able to get more time with the coach.
I HEARD IN THE WEATHER THAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE RAINY/REALLY HOT TODAY, SHOULD WE STILL COME OUT? YES! SLC events are held rain or shine. The only reason for a cancellation is lighting (for obvious safety reasons) and if there is a heat wave advisory. Although it is not always desirable to play in the rain or the heat, most of our guest coaches come from far away and do not have time in their schedules to come back. We will always be sure to keep the players best interests in mind and will notify everyone as to a change in the schedule. So unless you hear otherwise, please show up to the field at the scheduled time.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY? IT DEPENDS ON THE EVENT. For Summer League and Fall Ball, payments are non-refundable after the first two weeks of the sessions, NO EXCEPTIONS. Prior to the first two weeks, refund are subject to the $20 administrative fee, $15 jersey fee and the daily session cost of $10. For camps, there is a $40 non-refundable administrative fee after payment has been submitted, and no refund will be made after the first day of camp. For clinics, after payment has been submitted, there are no refunds. If you have any questions, regarding refund, please do not hesitate to ask us BEFORE you submit your payment. We do understand that there are certain situations that can not be foreseen and we are will treat such situations with the respect that they deserve. However, we reserve the right to designate the refund amount for such circumstances. You are responsible for understanding our refund policy and by submitting your forms and/or payment, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the policy.
